Surgery or other treatments of the larynx including the vocal folds may lead to permanent hoarseness or voice loss. With individual therapeutic measures and treatment of vibratory function of laryngeal tissues, significant improvement may be achieved.
Comprehensive assessment and examination is one mainstay of patient diagnostics. Scar reduction and laryngeal reconstruction should be discussed with the patient and adapted to the individual’s wishes.
